Class Schedule
Week 01
Foundations & Core Techniques
Students are introduced to the wrap industry, materials, tools, and safety practices. Instruction focuses on surface preparation, vinyl handling, squeegee control, heat management, and basic hood wrapping. Students practice both two-person and solo installations and complete their first skills assessment on a half hood.
Week 02
Panel Transitions & Vehicle Flow
This week focuses on panel-to-panel transitions and working across fenders, doors, and side panels. Students learn proper cutting, tucking, and edge finishing techniques while wrapping a full vehicle side. The week concludes with a hood and fender skills assessment to evaluate consistency and workflow.
Week 03
Complex Shapes & Bumper Techniques
Students tackle more challenging shapes including bumpers, trunks, mirrors, and handles. Instruction covers wrinkle management, seam placement, overlays, and knifeless cutting. By the end of the week, students complete a full bumper wrap assessment.
Week 04
Roofs & Full Vehicle Execution
This week introduces large panels and vertical surfaces including roofs and rear bumpers. Students practice wrapping roofs with and without obstacles and begin executing full vehicle workflows. A full vehicle wrap assessment marks the end of this phase.
Week 05
Commercial & Van Applications
Students learn techniques specific to commercial vehicles including vans and large panels with deep channels and rivets. Instruction emphasizes efficiency, seam strategy, and large-format control. Students complete a full van side wrap assessment.
Week 06
Graphics & Advanced Techniques
This week focuses on graphic wraps, alignment, leveling, overlays, masking, and knifeless tape. Students work in teams and individually to complete full graphic vehicle wraps. The week concludes with a solo full graphic wrap assessment.
Week 07
Review & Skill Refinement
Students revisit key techniques from earlier weeks, refine problem areas, and prepare for final certification. This week emphasizes repetition, consistency, and production-level standards.
Week 08
Final Certification
Students complete a full vehicle wrap independently as part of the final certification process. Evaluations focus on technique, workflow, finish quality, safety, and professionalism. Successful students earn the Spyderlab CARWRAP101 Vehicle Wrap Installation Certification.
